International volunteers are normally involved in community development projects like construction, painting, and building. Over the years of our presence in Jamaica, we have painted in schools, fixed and built desks and chairs for students, improved and installed new water systems, expanded community centers and local churches. Every international volunteer, regardless construction experience, is welcome and is a great asset to our projects!
Our healthcare volunteers assisted with regular check-ins and provided basic medical care for the patients. Summer is a great time to engage local children in music, dance, art, and sports. Highlights: Typical volunteer work abroad involves such activities as painting, building, constructing, basic healthcare, and even elderly care. During outside work hours, volunteers can hike, visit waterfalls, and simply have fun exploring Jamaica. You can visit such places as the Blue Mountain Peak, Morant Bay beach, St. Thomas mineral bath, and even coffee plantation!
