Teach conversational English to the youth: Volunteers will work with children aged 4-13 in summer camps and will help them improve their conversational English skills. This volunteer abroad program site is located outside the city of Iraklion alongside the famous Aegean Sea.
This Teach English Abroad program is open to virtually anybody and you don’t have to have any previous formal training or experience as a teacher or instructor because any native English speaker is just as good! Grammar and sentence structure is not a concern here, improving conversational English and pronunciation is the goal, so don’t you worry, as long as you speak English – you will be fine!
Volunteers normally spend four hours of a day working with children on the conversational English skills and the rest of the day volunteers engage in fun activities such as sports, games, arts, crafts and even theater. Make a difference, volunteer abroad, and visit a beautiful country of Greece all at once!
Highlights: During their free time, volunteers are able to travel the famous island of Crete – a place that a lot of Greek myths mention. Crete is international tourist attraction that has a lot of places to see. You can visit historical places such Archaeological Museum in Iraklion. You can also visit a reconstructed palce of such legendary figure as King Minos just south of Iraklion at Knossos. Or you can simply relax and soak up the Mediterranean sun and get tan at a number of beaches on the coast! So what are you waiting for?
