Description: Nizhny Novgorod Public School # 77 is an educational institution that offers education to students of 1-11 grades/7 to 18 age range. Also the school gives a unique one-life span opportunity to international interns of all ages and nationalities to intern abroad, teach abroad, and live with a host family or independently. Besides, school is holding different types of holidays and celebrations (depending what time period you spend in Russia, e.g. if it is winter then you can participate in New Year's Eve celebration) that you are more than welcome to attend and take an active part in. All of your ideas on organizing any extra-curricular activities will be met with encouragement. While working as a teaching intern abroad you can attend classes that are taught in Russian depending on your level of Russian (you can choose classes of any grade)
Requirements and Qualifications: Our partner projects would benefit from having interns abroad who enjoy working with children and adolescents. Computer, administrative and fund raising skills are also welcome on most of the projects.
Experience: No experience required.
Languages: Basic Russian (some specific projects ask for intermediate level of Russian), in case you never studied Russian there is an opportunity to take a course of basic Russian before the start of your program. Please let us know beforehand, so that we could arrange this course for you. An additional fee applies.

Type of work/duties: Most of the time the international interns are directly involved with the students either teaching the children or assisting the professional teachers to organize the daily activities, meals. Quite often there are some structural improvements going on where the volunteers can also get involved in e.g., painting and some decoration works.

* The interns abroad are responsible for their traveling expenses but our agents will assist you in your plans (advising on the most interesting places to visit, choosing routes, booking tourist packages, hotels and buses/trains)

Living Specifications: We can offer you two types of accommodation here in Nizhny Novgorod. You can stay with one of our selected host families or rent a place to stay. We will be in touch with our interns and your host family during your stay to make sure that you both have a mutually rewarding home stay experience. This is an amazing opportunity for you to practice your Russian and get a deeper feel of the Russian culture and Nizhny Novgorod. But, in case you prefer to live independently we can assist you on renting a good apartment or booking a small hotel with easy access to the project you will work at and to public transportation. The prices and payments schedules may vary from one type of accommodation to another.
