Description: Nizhny Novgorod Kindergarten #141 is an institution that offers a unique volunteer abroad opportunity for international volunteers to teaching English abroad in a childcare center such as helping the students with learning alphabet and simple English words, songs, writing and painting. The kindergarten is well- equipped, the staff is very friendly, and is always willing to help and will make sure that you are having a rewarding learning and fun experience abroad in Russia! The best part is certainly the cute children who are always very curious about foreigners and ask all kinds of questions. You can also organize different types of holidays’ celebrations and extra-curricular activities of your own, suggestions are always welcome. From finger painting to soccer, the time you volunteer abroad will help bring fun and enjoyment to children’s lives. The options available are limited only by your imagination!
Requirements and Qualifications: A key trait for international volunteers in this project is to have patience, creativity, and energy to play with the children. Enthusiasm and initiative are also important to success in the classroom

Pay/Compensation: Make a difference in children's life.
Type of work/duties: As a teaching assistant, volunteers abroad can help the children with art, language and playing different games and organizing theater scenes. They will also be supervising singing and play time for the kids. There are a total of about 50 children in the kindergarten, divided into four groups 2-5 years old, 6 years old, 7 years old, and 8 years old. You can also take part in different outdoor activities and cleaning days.

* 15 hours of Russian classes (the special course of Russian if you never learnt Russian is not included in this part if the program, you will need to make a request of this course)

Living Specifications: We can offer you two types of accommodation here in Nizhny Novgorod. You can stay with one of our selected host families or rent a place to stay. We will be in touch with our interns and your host family during your stay to make sure that you both have a mutually rewarding home stay experience. This is an amazing opportunity for you to practice your Russian and get a deeper feel of the Russian culture and Nizhny Novgorod. But, in case you prefer to live independently we can assist you on renting a good apartment or booking a small hotel with easy access to the project you will work at and to public transportation. The prices and payments schedules may vary from one type of accommodation to another.
