Program Name: Sports Coaching - Volunteer Abroad in Ghana with El Ghana
Overview: The country of Ghana, located on the coast of West Africa, contains an array of natural resources, languages, religion, and cultures. In Ghana, volunteers abroad have the chance to learn about developing countries and how they deal with their struggles. Despite its problems, Ghana is a great destination for studying or internships abroad because of its stable economy and government.
El Ghana works on developing the social and economic aspects of Ghana’s communities, this is why they need volunteers abroad like you! International volunteers abroad diligently work to assist underprivileged people in Ghana by assisting those in need and trying to improve their lives in any way possible.
El Ghana offers several volunteer abroad programs to choose from, including Healthcare Assistance, Orphanage Assistance Abroad, HIV/AIDS Assistance, as well as coaching, teaching, and disability training and rehabilitation programs abroad. Even if none of these falls under one of your categories of interest, please feel free to ask about other fields. We want to pair you with the volunteer abroad that best utilizes your skills.
Description: Sports fans have a great opportunity to share their love of athletics and competition when they volunteer abroad for the Sports Coach volunteer work abroad. In this program abroad, you will have a chance to coach several sports, including soccer (football), netball, basketball, and volleyball. Through these activities, you can teach players the importance of teamwork, communication, morals, and discipline. You also provide a healthy outlet for negative feelings and an environment where young men and women can gain confidence in themselves and have fun.
When you put your time, effort, and heart into this project, you will see your players flourish. They may or may not become great athletes, but you have given them a chance to have fun and grow as individuals and teams, and that is something to be proud of. Hopefully, your positive attitude and encouragement will be instilled in them, and they may just pass it along to others.
Dates: Open year-round.
Accommodations: Volunteers abroad will stay with Host families
Requirements: 18 years old. Enthusiasm and willing to help.
