Description: This volunteer abroad project was founded in 2001 to help and support the elderly population of Ecuador. The main emphasis is placed on promoting healthy and active lifestyle for the elders. One of the problems in Ecuador, is that a lot of elderly population is abandoned and they are forced to beg in the streets and live outside. There is more than a million abandoned elders in Ecuador. This volunteer abroad program will take place in a shelter for the elders where volunteers will work to help provide help and support for the elders.

Requirements and Qualifications: Ability and want to help

Experience: None

Languages: English, Spanish (optional)

Age: at least 18 (contact us if under 18)

Restrictions: Minimum 1 month

Pay/Compensation: n/a

Type of work/duties: International volunteer experience is key determinant in what type of work you will be involved in. Volunteers assist with healthcare, nutrition, recreational activities, counseling, and much more!
