Program Name: Volunteer Abroad in Ecuador - Teaching with Fundacion Bolivar

Description: This volunteer abroad programs takes place in Quito, Ecuador. International volunteers will be working with children in suburban areas where the lack of investment and funds creates all sorts of problem s for local population. The goal of each volunteer abroad is to help children with their school work and help them improve their social skills. Volunteers are also involved in healthcare, recreation, and educational activities. This volunteer abroad program is lead by a citizen of Switzerland and his girlfriend. This couple worked in this area for over 8 years now.
Requirements and Qualifications: Ability and want to help
Experience: None
Languages: English, Spanish (optional)
Age: at least 18 (contact us if under 18)
Restrictions: Minimum 1 month (if you want to do a shorter program, contact us)

Type of work/duties:
- Volunteers abroad will work with kids
- Help kids with school work
- Support and care for kids
- Organize recreational activities
- Teaching English Abroad to kids
- Work with children’s families if needed
Keep in mind that this volunteer abroad program requires lots of direct interaction with children, this creates personal bonds, at it may be difficult for you to leave as well as children to say goodbye. It is also very important to show up at the project site everyday because children will be expecting you no matter what. They show love and care for volunteers just like volunteers abroad show them.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
09:00 – 12:30 School visits
12:30 – 14:00 Lunch break
14:00 – 17:00 Assist kids with school work
17:00 – 17:30 Recreation activities
17:30 – 18:00 Light meal and hygiene
Optional: Saturdays 09:00 – 13:00 Help children with their homeworkWorking with kids between 6-12 years old
Cost: Participation Fee is $250
