Intern Abroad in Nepal-Administrative work with VolNepal

Country: Nepal

Program type: Administration

Description: Do you have in interest in business management, marketing, PR or writing, while also hoping to help make a difference in the lives of others? As an administration intern abroad in Nepal, you could put your skills to good use.  Our interns can help us in a number of ways including completing administrative tasks, promoting our services and programs, fundraising and writing content for our website. As VolNepal continues to grow, so does its need for administrative work.  Assistance from a fun and organized intern abroad can help to reach out to new contacts, while helping to maintain existing relationships.

The success of your volunteer or internship abroad experience is entirely dependent upon you and what you want out of your experience.  A proactive attitude and a willingness to help are essential in making the most of your time spent as a volunteer in Nepal.

Orientation: International interns are welcomed by a VolNepal representative at the airport in Kathmandu, before being guided to their new home. After arrival and getting acquainted with the area, interns then have personal meetings with the representative to determine how to best utilize the intern's skills, time and experience.
Project Start Dates: Help is needed year-round. Interns determine their own start dates.

Accommodations: International interns will typically live with a host family that is involved with VolNepal. Two or three meals per day will be provided to you by your host family, depending on the individual situation.  Assistance will be provided to help ensure safe and reliable transportation to, from, and within Nepal.

Project Duration and Cost: The maximum length of stay in Nepal is currently 5 months on a traveler’s visa, in accordance with the government.  Although the duration of a volunteer’s stay is entirely up to the individual, and always appreciated, a longer stay is certainly more valuable and useful to the students.  Intern fees vary, based on the length of stay and the nature of the placement with VolNepal.  And remember that it is less costly to visit once for a longer stay, than to make multiple short trips.  Please contact a representative of VolNepal for more details.
