Program Name: Intern Abroad in Costa Rica - Medical Clinic Work
Description: The Adelante Costa Rica program begins the first Monday of the month, year round and starts with three weeks of intensive Spanish classes followed by an internship in your chosen sector. The program is aimed at independent-minded people looking to upgrade their resume with international experience by living and working abroad. In our Costa Rica program you can choose to work at a national TV company, assist at a non-profit working with street kids, intern at a law firm, work in an architecture internship, intern in a medical clinic plus many, many more opportunities.
Highlights: More and more, employers are looking for people with international experience on their resume. Internship provides the opportunity to gain that experience by living and working alongside the local people in a Spanish-speaking country. Customize internships according to student’s wants and needs. Whether you want an academic or a non-academic internship – it is all up to you, but you can receive credit at your university for taking part in our internships abroad.
Candidates can choose the amount of time that they want to intern abroad, from 2 to 6 months. Internships are 4 hours a day, so the rest of your time is yours to explore, travel and enjoy! Each program abroad is designed to fully immerse every person into the local culture and environment, it is intended to be part work experience and part cultural and language learning. The right candidate will greatly improve their language skills as well as achieving valuable work experience in their chosen sector in an international setting.
Requirements and Qualifications: Some Spanish skills are preferred. Some internship positions may require a higher level of Spanish.
Some internships may require prior studies, qualifications or experience in the field (eg., law, psychology).
Experience: Prior experience may be required for certain internship sectors (eg. law, psychology).
Languages: Spanish and English
