Spain-Current Issues

Because of its miles of open coast, Spain has become a pathway which drugs move through from North Africa, Latin America, and other European countries.  Cocaine and hashish come through and are consumed in the country, along with money laundering by Colombian drug traffickers and members of organized crime. Please don’t get involved in this mess when you are participating in study abroad or intern abroad programs in Spain!
