Mexico-Current Issues
Like in most of the Latin American countries, hunger is one of the main issues for people living in poorer sections of Mexico. The access to food for poor people is very limited, and reliance on imports for some basic foods makes it a lot tougher on low income families to live a decent lifestyle. Inequality is another major problem contributing to hunger in Mexico. Questionable government policy widens the gap between rich and poor.
By volunteering at a school or at an orphanage and spending time with children will bring great personal satisfaction to you as a volunteer, as well as it will make a difference in someone else’s life. Volunteering and studying abroad are some of the ways of sharing your time and personal experiences with others, who are in need of this support. Stabilizing the nation’s economy is one of the major tasks for Mexican government. There is plenty to do for current government in an effort to battle inflation, which causes massive problems for this country. Massive immigration to the United States plays a negative role in the development of Mexico with some of its brightest leaving the country in numbers.
